Simon carries Jesus’s cross

The artist for this station is Zeljana Schönauer of the Buddhist tradition. The artwork depicts Simon, Jesus and the ten worlds, accompanied by Zeljana’s chanting of ‘Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo’ which represents the universal law of life – the essence of life itself.

“They seized upon a man called Simon, from Cyrene, on his way in from the country, put the cross on his back, and made him walk behind Jesus, carrying it.” Luke 23.26
